This Colt manufactured late variation hammer assembly is for the medium frame Lightning slide action centerfire rifle and is in very good condition exhibiting a brownish gray patina with light wear and some older rust present. This hammer assembly consists of the hammer, hammer roll, hammer roll pin, hammer catch pin, the adjustment screw and the fly. Late variation hammer assemblies have the small straight slot screw located in the top radius forward of the spur section and have the fly that are NOT present on the early variation hammers.  (file photo)
